Race Day!

Today is the Chevron Houston Marathon and the Daddy is running it!

The mama and baby cheer team is ready. Maps have been printed, coffee is made and plans are in place. Snacks will be consumed (and maybe a few naps), smiles will be in place and our hero will be cheered for!!!

Now, off to get the mama ready- 45 minutes until the start of the race is televised. That is 41.5 minutes longer than I usually have to get ready!!

Good Morning

Caleb wakes me each morning saying,
"Mama, the sun came up, AGAIN!".
I never can figure out whether he is pleased or annoyed.
I think that depends on breakfast.

Birthday Girl

Our baby girl is 5!

Her birthday wishes included Super Salad for lunch and a trip to the much-anticipated Build a Bear. She made a pink bear named "Princess" and got a BB gun from her Daddy. That's our girl!

What a wonderful 5 years!
